After over 33 years of owning and running my locksmith business here in Edinburgh, family health issues meant I had to go into full retirement in the early part of 2024. I subsequently closed the business in autumn 2024.

Following various requests from previous clients earlier this year, I decided to reverse things a wee bit and go back to “semi-retirement”. As a result “All Very Handy” was set up to provide a bespoke maintenance and security service to Property Factors and other valued customers who may have previously used my locksmith and maintenance services when trading as A1 Lockman Security Ltd.

Over the years I found my locksmith business had changed substantially from pure locksmithing to covering many other tasks. I received continual requests from Property Managers to undertake these fiddly wee jobs that some other contractors either could not, or would not undertake.

►   Notice Boards.

►  Minor Paint Works.

►  Remedial work to communal entry doors.

►  Door Stops.

►  Bulb replacement.

►  Paintwork and wall corner protection items.

►  Door Closers and emergency Hardware.

►  Door Handles.

►  Combination / Digital locks for service and storage spaces.

►  Registered Keys. (for locks supplied by me.)

A full “locksmith” service is no longer available.
I do not deal with emergency lock-outs and there is no 24Hr service.
Lock changes/upgrades and a reduced key cutting service are still available.
I will normally respond to any email work requests within 24 to 36 hours.
Fully insured with £2M Public Liability Cover.

Work days – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. 10am – 3.30pm.
